Level 1 Award in Introduction to Mental Health in the Workplace

This half-day course introduces learners to common mental health issues such as depression and anxiety and works to build an understanding of stress in the workplace. You will explore the appropriate use of language around mental health and the importance of self-care as a tool to help improve mental health and resilience.

Learner Requirements

This course is suitable for individuals and groups wishing to gain a broader understanding of how to support colleagues who may be experiencing mental ill health in the workplace. Learners must be aged 16 years or older on the first day of the course, evidenced with photo ID. 

 

Assessments

There is one assessment in the form of a multiple-choice question paper

This course is also available as a virtual learning experience delivered over MS Teams.

Upon successful completion of the course, learners are issued a certificate which does not expire; however, it is strongly recommended that learners keep up to date with current best practices.

Level 2 Award in Understanding Mental Health in the Workplace

This one-day course builds on current knowledge, encouraging learners to gain an understanding of positive mental health and wellbeing strategies in the workplace. Learners will learn how to promote positive mental health in the workplace, how to recognise common mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety, and how to build a mental health action plan for the workplace.

Upon successful completion of the course, learners are issued a certificate is valid for 3 years. The learner will need to retake the qualification before the certificate expiry date to remain qualified.

Level 3 Award in Mental Health Frist Aid in the Workplace

This two-day course is designed for leaders and those wishing to be Mental Health First Aiders in the workplace. During the course you will gain skills, knowledge and confidence to support and guide individuals experiencing poor mental health.

 

Learner Requirements

This course is suitable for individuals and groups wishing to qualify as workplace mental health first aiders. Learners must be aged 18 years or older on the first day of the course, evidenced by photo ID. 

 

Assessments

There is one assessment in the form of a multiple-choice question paper

This course is also available as a virtual learning experience delivered over MS Teams.

Upon successful completion of the course, learners are issued a certificate that is valid for 3 years. The learner will need to retake the qualification before the certificate expiry date to remain qualified.
