This 2-day course meets the requirements of Ofsted and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) for those registering on the compulsory or voluntary childcare registers.
The course focuses on real-life situations and practical skills, giving you the confidence to respond effectively in a childcare emergency.

- Assessing an emergency involving a baby or child
- CPR and use of an AED (infant and child)
- Choking response for babies and children
- Managing seizures, febrile convulsions, and breathing difficulties
- Dealing with bleeding, burns, and fractures
- Treating shock, allergic reactions (anaphylaxis), and poisoning
- Managing head injuries and eye injuries
- Illness recognition: meningitis, croup, asthma, diabetes
- Safe use of auto-injectors (e.g. EpiPen)
- Record keeping, reporting, and parental communication
