  • QA Level 3 First Response Emergency Care RQF (FREC 3) – 5 days

    • Nationally recognised and regulated qualification

    • Designed for those seeking a career in the emergency services, ambulance service, the event and security medical sector or those who work in high risk workplaces, learners will gain the knowledge, skills and competencies needed to deal with a range of prehospital care emergencies, such as: managing a patient’s airways, catastrophic bleeding, management of fractures, medical emergencies and more

    • Course content - Roles and responsibilities of a first responder, medical emergencies, Patient assessment, airway management, adult child and infant CPR & AED usage, return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) procedures, emergency oxygen, traumatic injuries, catastrophic bleeding, shock, poisoning and intoxicating substances, external and internal bleeding, helmet removal, neck spine and pelvic immobilisation, environmental exposure, burns and scalds, minor injuries & incident reporting

    • Ideal as an alternative to the First Person on Scene Intermediate (FPOSi) qualification, the QA Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) also forms part of a progressive suite of prehospital care qualifications that lead to the QA Level 6 Diploma in Paramedic Practice (RQF)

  • QA Level 4 First Response Emergency Care RQF (FREC 4) – 5 days

    • Nationally recognised and regulated qualification

    • Designed for those looking to progress their career within the NHS or private ambulance services as an emergency care assistant, intermediate ambulance practitioner, event medical provider, associate practitioner or healthcare assistant. It is also ideal for those who are looking to work within specialist roles in the military, police and fire services

    • As the next step for those who have completed the QA Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF), this qualification provides learners with a wider scope of practice in prehospital care emergencies, allowing for greater employment opportunities. It also forms part of a progressive suite of prehospital care qualifications that lead to the QA Level 6 Diploma in Paramedic Practice (RQF)

    • Course content - initial patient assessment, physiological observations, anatomy and physiology, heart disease, electrocardiogram application and monitoring, managing a patient’s airway - supraglottic airways, medical gases – including dosages and administration, thoracic trauma, sepsis, maternity care, respiratory disorders and infections, mechanisms of injury and kinetics, triage, full body and limb immobilisation, sexual assault, major incidents, psychosocial development in children, emergency care for sick and injured children, mental health crisis, assisting the clinician with clinical interventions

    • Qualsafe Accredited  – Valid for 3 year

  • Advanced Life Support - 2 days

    • Covering the same content as the resuscitation council UK ALS course and with the same high calibre faculty. The course programme consists of lectures, workshops, skill stations and cardiac arrest simulations.

    • Continuous assessment occurs throughout the ALS course, which is based on clinical simulations that allow candidates to demonstrate the core competencies that have been taught on the course. These include airway management, high quality CPR and defibrillation and cardiac arrest management. A final assessment of candidates at the end of the course takes the form of management of a cardiac arrest simulation and a MCQ paper 

    • In house certificate valid – 4 years

  • Immediate Life Support - 1 day

    • Covering the same content as the resuscitation council UK ILS course and with the same high calibre faculty. The course programme consists of lectures, workshops, skill stations and cardiac arrest simulations.

    • Continuous assessment occurs throughout the ILS course, which is based on clinical simulations that allow candidates to demonstrate the core competencies that have been taught on the course. These include identify the causes and promote the prevention of cardiac arrest. Assessing a patient utilising a standard approach. Undertake high quality CPR, defibrillation and simple airway manoeuvres. 

    • CPD Accredited 1 Day Course – Valid for 1 year
